The roots of Mudsong: a personal journey
Mudsong Ceramics began as my personal artistic journey, rooted in faith and life on the farm. As my practice with clay deepened, it naturally grew into something I wanted to share with my community. Today, my work reflects not only slow, intentional making inspired by the land, but also a commitment to teaching and inviting others into the creative process—because anyone can create.

Welcome to our unique farm studio
When someone visits my studio, I want them to feel empowered to create and comfortable experimenting—whether it’s their first time touching clay or they’re returning to it. Making pottery on a fun family farm adds a sense of ease and playfulness to the process. The outdoor setting, farm sounds, and natural surroundings help people relax, laugh, and enjoy creating in a way that feels both grounding and joyful.

Beyond the pot: connection, calm, and creativity
Beyond making pots, I hope people leave Mudsong carrying a softer pace and a deeper sense of connection. Clay has a way of anchoring us in the present moment—hands moving, breath steady, attention grounded—and I want time here to feel like an exhale.
I hope people discover a quiet confidence in themselves, a trust in their own creativity that may have been waiting just beneath the surface. On the farm, surrounded by open space, birdsong, and the rhythms of everyday life, perfection loosens its grip. What matters instead is play, curiosity, and the simple joy of making something with your hands.
My wish is that Mudsong feels nourishing—like a place where creativity is not rushed, where laughter comes easily, and where people leave feeling more connected to themselves, to one another, and to the beauty of slowing down.
